How is the MMR working?

Blizzard released the Warcraft 3 Reforged MMR:

With the game release, Warcraft 3 Reforged already started with MMR in versus matches.

What is MMR?

MMR is an Elo value that describes your skill-level to bring equal players together in a matchmaking system. Playing against same skilled opponents is much more fun and the foundation for any e-sport game.

How to display the MMR in WC3 Reforged?

You need to be in an active versus match to display your MMR.
Now type “!mmr” to display your MMR, a value between 0 and 3000 will be displayed.

How is the Warcraft 3 Reforged MMR working?

The Warcraft 3 Reforged MMR has a range of 0-3000 and every player starts with 1500 MMR. Right now for each game mode (1on1, 2on2, 3on3, 4on4 and FFA) you get a seperate MMR.

If you win a match the MMR goes up and with each lose the MMR drops. When starting the versus search again, your enemy will be in the same MMR range (probably around +/-300 MM).

Right now the matchmaking system is not working fluently but Blizzard will improve this issue with the next patches. Moreover in 2on2 the MMR is currently not counting up or down correctly.
