Patch 1.27b carries on the first steps of Patch 1.27a: There are several bug fixes and general maintenance problems solved. The patch does not come with fancy new features, but ensures a more stable and compatible client for all players around the globe.
Also it prepares Warcraft 3 for further development, as the Blizzard team announced the Warcraft 3 Balance Patch 1.29 for April 2018.

- The file size limit has been raised from 8mb to 128mb! (that’s a lot) xo
- Added Script Verify to the Warcraft 3 World Editor.
- The custom blp files will no longer crash on MAC systems.

It says that “The patch could not be applied because it does not match the file checksum.”and another one is this “ERROR: unable to get version size for file ‘C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III\War3.exe’
The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file.” how to fix this problem? I tried what was adviced to do but it still won’t work
1-Open Regedit
2-Locate: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III
3-You will find 2 entries “InstallPath” and “GamePath”
4-Edit the directory of the entries and put the directory in which you installed the game to
example: D:\Program Files (x86)\WarCraft III
And it will certainly work
I stopped at # 2. I can’t find the “Install Path” and “Game Path”. The only thing that pops up are File associations and Url associations only.

The system cannot find the file specified.
How to fix this??
I believe you can just physically move the patch.exe file into the main directory and it should launch without issues. Otherwise try renaming the directories filename to say ‘warcraft III’ or whatever original custom one you gave it.
hello there, i did everything, made the IntallPath Folder, rename what should be renamed, but still
it says unable because cant fine war3x.mpq
