What is Fortnite Battle Royale?<\/h2>\n

The different Fortnite game modes:<\/span>
\nIn the multiplayer you play in a Battle Royale arena<\/strong> against other players:
\nThe aim of Battle Royale is to stay alive, playing as an individual or as part of a team with people across the globe<\/span>. Each game lasts around 20 minutes<\/span>, in case that you don\u2019t get killed. The game\u2019s new Playground mode<\/strong> is being taken offline on 12 July 2018 to allow developers Epic to add a host of new features, including aim assist, team selection and traps which affect teammates and enemies.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the PVE mode called Save the World<\/strong> you can play a campaign mode<\/strong> alone or with other Fortnite players<\/a> to ward off hordes of enemy monsters, build forts and defend the island\u2019s survivors!<\/p>\n

Before every Battle Royale match, all of the players are loaded into a lobby, that is called the Spawning Zone<\/strong>.

\nAs a Fortnite beginner<\/strong>, when you’re looting your first building always start on the roof.<\/span> Some buildings will have weapons up there, but in the case of houses, you’ll often find chests hidden beneath the tiles<\/strong>. Drop onto the roof and use your pickaxe to break through<\/strong>! Then break through to the next level down, loot everything<\/strong> and work your way to the ground floor. <\/p>\n

Tip: When you loot future buildings you can still reach the roof by building a ramp and repeating the process.<\/p>\n

When a Fortnite chest is nearby you’ll hear it<\/span>, so always be listening. You want them, and a lot of the time they’re in the attic.<\/p>\n

Important: Zoom in on the map to find remote hilltops to land on<\/strong>. Most of them will provide you with a good enough Battle Royale starter kit<\/strong> to fight back in the early minutes of each match.<\/p>\n
